Zuckerberg in Vietnam despite ban

Vietnam may block its citizens from using Facebook, but that did not stop website founder Mark Zuckerberg from spending his holiday there. Mr Zuckerberg spent Christmas Eve in the popular tourist destination Ha Long Bay, local official Trinh Dang Thanh said.
Mr Zuckerberg spent Christmas Day at an ecolodge in the northern mountain town of Sapa and rode a buffalo, said Le Phuc Thien, deputy manager at Topas Ecolodge.
Mr Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO, founded the popular social networking site in 2004. Vietnam's aggressive internet censors block access to Facebook and other websites, but young Vietnamese easily bypass the restrictions.

Bieber's grandfather involved in car accident

Justin Bieber is praying for his grandparents' speedy recovery after they were involved in a serious car accident in the early hours on Wednesday.
The Baby hitmaker's mum, Pattie Mallette, revealed her parents Bruce and Diane Dale were driving along a road in Canada when their vehicle careered out of control and flipped into a ditch.
The crash left Bruce with broken ribs but Diane escaped largely unscathed.

In a post on Twitter.com, Mallette writes, "My parents got into a car accident today. They flipped into a ditch & totaled (sic) the car but thank God they are alive! My dad has broken ribs. Plz (please) pray 4 him 4 quick healing! Count your blessings & forgive ur parents always. U never know what tomorrow holds!!!"

The job of a pilot is difficult and risky, but prestigious .They see all parts of the world and get to know new people almost all the time. But a pilot also faces problems. They often suffer from jet lag and can become tired when flying through different time zones. They spend many days away from home and their families.
Although many people think it is a real dream job pilots must be responsible people because they have the lives of up to a few hundred passengers in their hands.Pilots must remain calm in dangerous situations and always have to make the right decisions.About 60 % of all pilots fly commercial airplanes , the rest fly cargo and private planes, as well as air force planes.
There are many things that a pilot must do before he or she flies a plane. They must check out weather conditions on the flight path and around the landing area.
Pilots must calculate how much fuel they have to take with them.
Many people believe that pilots earn a lot of money. While that is true for larger airlines, smaller budget airlines cannot afford to pay their pilots that much. In today’s world airlines are competing fiercely for their shares of the market.

The Internet is probably the only place where the Chinese can say or write what they want. But a report says that China’s Internet is one of the most controlled in the world.
The government forbids foreign websites most of the time. Last week it banned YouTube because it showed policemen who beat Tibetan monks. The government also puts website owners into prison if they don’t publish what they want.
Not all websites can be blocked. If the government closes down 10 of them 20 other pop up somewhere else.
On the one side normal people are happy that they can read and post lots of things on the net, on the other side there are many who are angry that the government controls it too much. A lot of good information never makes it online.

Cloud computing means using software that is installed on the Internet. You can also save your work on another computer instead of the hard drive of your own PC or laptop.
and other projects can be stored on clouds, data storage areas on giant servers on the Internet.
There are many so-called web applications that can do the same as normal desktop software. Google Documents, for example, gives you a text editor, a slide show application tables and diagrams. You can use these programs for free.
Cloud computing can also be a cheaper than buying expensive software. Many basic applications on the net are free, but you may have to pay to use some of the more complex programs. Companies do not have to buy expensive software licenses for all their workers and computers do not have to be better and more powerful all the time because all you need is a simple web browser, like the Internet Explorer and Firefox.
